Mark Mulhern will join Omnicom’s DDB Worldwide as CEO of its dedicated McDonald’s agency, We Are Unlimited, effective January 8. Mulhern, who joins from Hearst’s iCrossing, succeeds Brian Nienhaus, moving to an as-yet-unnamed new post at Omnicom.
Wendy McMahon was named President, ABC Owned Television Stations Group, replacing Rebecca Campbell, recently named President, The Walt Disney Company EMEA. For the past several years, McMahon has served as Senior Vice President, Digital for the ABC Owned Stations Group.
TRX, the online deal-making tool for buying and selling TV rights, appointed Andrea Wong to its Advisory Board. Wong is former President, International Production for Sony Pictures Television and President, International for Sony Pictures Entertainment.
Maverick TV USA named John Hesling its president. Most recently, Hesling was SVP Programming at Shed Media/Warner Bros. Television.
Refinery29 promoted Gillian Orr to Content Director of the brand’s UK operation. In addition, Sarah Raphael, previously Editorial Director, is moving to the new role of Editor at Large in the UK. Orr and Raphael have been with the company since its launch in 2015.
Kimberly Godwin, a journalist with more than a decade at CBS News, has been named Vice President of News, and journalist Tim Gaughan has been named Vice President of News Services. Godwin will be responsible for the editorial direction, launch and coordination of all CBS News newsgathering resources, as well as continue in her role as executive director for Development and Diversity. In his new role, Gaughan will oversee Newspath, CBS News’ newsgathering organization.
Univision Communications promoted Liz Sanderson to Senior Vice President, Strategy & Insights. Sanderson joined the company in 2010.
Roblox, the social platform for children, added three Silicon Valley veterans to its staff. Jennifer Hedding joins as chief people officer, Daniel Williams as VP of corporate and production engineering, and Matt Kaufman as VP of product for platform. Hedding most recently was SVP of human resources for Hewlett Packard Enterprise; Williams has held positions at Dropbox, the San Francisco 49ers, and Facebook; and Kaufman was at Crunchbase.
