Starz’ Outlander returned to a series record high of 1.49 million Live+SD viewers for the 8p premiere and 2.1 million over 3 Sunday night airings. The drama has already been renewed for season 4.
The season 21 premiere of Comedy Central’s South Park drew 1.7 million viewers and 1.36 among A18-49, making it the highest-rated premiere in 2017 for any primetime comedy across ad-supported cable. The launch followed an 8-day South Park marathon that delivered over 10 million unique views and grew A18-34 ratings by +46%..
Wednesday’s season 4 premiere of Comedy Central’s Broad City delivered 879,000 total viewers, up 14% in viewers and an 18% rise among A18-49 (.72) versus its season 3 launch. The episode was the second-highest-rated in series history, after its .73 series premiere.
ABC’s Truth and Lies: The Murder of Laci Peterson on Thursday ranked #1 from 9p-11p in total viewers (4.9 million) and tied for first among A25-54 (1.4/5). Versus June’s Truth and Lies: Watergate, the show was up 48% in total viewers and 100% among A18-49.
Univision’s weekday series lineup rose week-to-week among A18-34, with 8p’s Enamorandome de Ramon growing its A18-34 audience 8% week to week (to 349,000) and attracting 1.5 million total viewers and 662,000 among A18-49.
Univision sib UniMas boasts it has increased its primetime audience in the last 3 consecutive weeks with week-to-week audience gains among A8-34 (+7%) as well as in the last 2 consecutive weeks among A18-49 (+14%) and total viewers 2+ (14%).
Animal Planet’s Pit Bulls & Parolees averaged 1.07 million viewers and scored a season high among P25-54 (0.53) on September in Live+3. The episode averaged a 0.69 rating among W25-54, helping the net break into ad-supported cable’s Top Five at 9p among P25-54 (#5) and W25-54 (#4) as well as the Top 10 among M25-54 (#10) and total viewers (#10).

Dave Madden was named President of Original Programming for AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios. Madden joins AMC from Fox, where he has been President for the Fox broadcast network since 2014, and prior to that, President of Fox Television Studios. Madden will start later this month.
