Digital consumer insights company Hitwise hired Timur Yarnall as CEO and President. Yarnall was previously Senior Vice President, Advertising Products & Corporate Development at comScore.

Digital news brand ATTN: tapped Jessie Surovell as Head of Television Development. Surovell had been VP of Content Strategy for The Content Group.

Rachel Whetstone has joined Netflix as Chief Communications Officer. Whetstone, who had been a VP Communications at Facebook, replaces Jonathan Friedland, let go in June for using a racial slur.

Netflix nabbed lauded Disney production exec Tendo Nagenda to lead production for Scott Stuber and the company’s well-funded film division. Nagenda has been at Disney for the past eight years; he had prior stints at HBO, Warner Independent, Plan B and Good Universe.

Kristen Held has been appointed Senior Vice President of Performance Media at AdMore. Held comes to AdMore from Mediaocean.

Karga Seven Pictures, a Red Arrow Studios company, has promoted Brett Boydstun into the new role of Executive Vice President, Production.

WNET hired Eugenia Harvey as Executive Producer/Project Director for its Multi-Platform Initiatives. Most recently, Harvey served as Executive Producer of Third Rail with OZY.

Vox Media tapped Hetal Patel to serve as its first Head of Sales Research & Insights. Patel joins from iHeartMedia, where she was a VP of Corporate & Consumer Insights. Also at Vox, Ryan Pauley was promoted Senior Vice President Business Operations & Strategy, from Vice President, Revenue Operations & GM at Concert.

Big Fish Entertainment named Daniel Markell as Senior Vice President of Development. Prior to Big Fish, Markell served as SVP of Development at Sirens Media.
