The Academy of Country Music Awards delivered its largest audience since 1998, according to Nielsen preliminary Live+SD ratings for Sunday. The CBS special presentation was first in viewers (15.77 million), A25-54 (4.6/12), A18-49 (3.6/11) and A18-34 (2.6/09). It was the first time ACMs were broadcast in the 11-11:30p time period.

HBO chose 4/20 to announce that web series High Maintenance, about a weed dealer with neurotic clients, is going linear. HBO greenlit six episodes of the comedy from 30 Rock casting director Katja Blichfeld and husband Ben Sinclair, who stars in the show; the existing 19 episodes will be available later this year.
COZI TV signed its first brand ambassador: Antonio Fargas, best remembered as Huggy Bear from Starsky & Hutch. Fargas will star in musical promos and host other projects for the net. “We are thrilled to have Antonio be part of the COZI TV family,” said Diane Petzke, director of programming and promotion. “Antonio’s career embodies our programming philosophy and the warm, inviting and laid-back attitude of our network.”
A premiere date has been set for ABC’s The Astronaut Wives Club. The series, centering on a group of women who support their space-bound husbands during the 1960s, takes off Thursday, June 18 at 8p.

Horror-meister Wes Craven inked a first-look deal with Universal Cable Productions to develop television adaptations of his 1991 movie, The People Under the Stairs, and Daryl Gregory novel We Are All Completely Fine for Syfy. Craven is also exec producing a TV adaptation of Scream, on deck at MTV.
STX Entertainment is adding a coming-of-age drama to its development slate, written by Kelly Fremon Craig and exec produced by James L. Brooks (As Good As It Gets).
Top 20 Funniest has been renewed for a third season. The truTV comedy reality series is slated to return in May.
The diva drama continues. Following last week’s Season 3 finale, the ladies of TV One‘s R&B Divas LA reunite in a two-part special hosted by Wendy Williams. Part one airs Wednesday, April 22 at 10p, with Lil’ Mo, Chante Moore, Michel’le, Chrisette Michele, Leela James, Brave and Stacy Francis.
The annual iHeartRadio Summer Pool Party, featuring a live concert with Nick Jonas, Chris Brown, Kelly Clarkson, Nicki Minaj, Shaggy and Echosmith, streams on Yahoo Live Saturday, May 30 at 8p. The CW will once again broadcast the iHeartRadio Summer Pool Party concert as a one-hour special, on Thursday, June 11 at 9p.
Destination America is fishing for outdoor enthusiasts (or just outdoor TV enthusiasts on couches) with four new series added to its early morning lineup. Copout Adventures, featuring wounded first responders on hunting and fishing trips, airs Saturdays at 5a; Guy Harvey’s North American Fishing Expeditions airs Sundays at 9a; Ocean Explorer launches Sunday, April 26 at 7a and Reel Time Where the Pros Hook Up angles for viewers starting Sunday, May 17 at 7:30a.
Five adventurers risk life and limb hauling cargo into treacherous tracts of wilderness in Dead End Express. Produced for Nat Geo by Original Media, new series premieres Thursday, May 7 at 10p.
AXS TV and companion network HDNet Movies inked a long-term distribution agreement with the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC). As part of the deal, NCTC’s participating member companies will continue to be able to provide their subscribers with AXS TV’s and HDNet Movies’ linear services on demand and exclusive TV Everywhere content.
Mitch Pileggi announced via Twitter that he’ll reprise his role as Walter Skinner on Fox’s The X-Files revival. Production begins this summer on the event series.
Parenthood alum Craig T. Nelson booked a recurring role on Grace and Frankie, the Netflix comedy out May 8. Nelson will play Guy, a love interest for Grace (Jane Fonda). Nelson is also starring in NBC’s straight-to-series revival of Nelson’s 1989-1997 comedy, Coach, arriving in the 2015-16 season.
Dominic Sherwood (Vampire Academy) landed the male lead in ABC Family saga series Shadowhunters.
Blake Anderson (Workaholics) guests stars on Parks and Recreation’s Season 6 finale, airing Thursday, April 30.
Stephen Lang (Terra Nova) landed a recurring spot on WGN America’s Salem, as a hardcore Puritan.
Regina King (Southland) joins season two of HBO drama The Leftovers as a regular, opposite Justin Theroux and Amy Brenneman.
Alfred Haber Distribution signed a raft of renewals and first time deals for truTV reality series Top 20 Funniest.
