FOX Sports opened the doors to its new college football pregame show, blending new talent with current staples for a lineup that includes host Rob Stone and analysts Urban Meyer, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and Brady Quinn.The one-hour show will run each Saturday during the college football season on the FOX broadcast network beginning Week 1. “Urban and Reggie will make fantastic additions to our already impressive college football roster, and we’re looking forward to seeing Brady shine in his new role,” said Mark Silverman, President, FOX Sports National Networks. “We think that this entire lineup will educate and entertain viewers with the unique FOX attitude that viewers are familiar with.”
 
 
PROGRAMMING

Ahead of this year’s run for the2019 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, NCAA March Madness Live – the live streaming suite of products managed by Turner Sports in partnership with CBS and the NCAA – announced plans to carry more offerings than ever before, running across 17 platforms this year, including Android TV and Oculus Go for the first time. Additional highlights will include new BracketIQ tools – with Matchup Analysis and Bracket Persona offering deeper insights into each fan’s picks – and the extension of Fast Break presented by AT&T and Infiniti, live whip-around coverage when there are multiple games being played during the first weekend (March 21-24) and mobile web streaming of the NCAA Tournament. Fan favorite features will return including “excitement alerts” for big moments, live game scoring, real-time game alerts and direct access to live radio broadcasts, courtesy of Westwood One, for all 67 games. In addition, the platform will offer 21 select NCAA Tournament games in virtual reality, including the Final Four and the Championship Game.
 
Meanwhile, CBS Sports and Turner Sports announced talent for the 2019 NCAA Tournament, running across four national television networks – TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV starting March 19. New commentator roles for this year’s coverage will include: Jim Nantz/Bill Raftery/Grant Hill/Tracy Wolfson; Brian Anderson/Chris Webber/Allie LaForce; Ian Eagle/Jim Spanarkel/Jamie Erdahl; Kevin Harlan/Reggie Miller/Dan Bonner/Dana Jacobson; Brad Nessler/Steve Lavin/Jim Jackson/Evan Washburn; Spero Dedes/Len Elmore/Steve Smith/Ros Gold-Onwude; Andrew Catalon/Steve Lappas/Lisa Byington’; and Carter Blackburn/Debbie Antonelli/John Schriffen.
 
NBC Sports Group and Sky Sports announced that each will offer the most coverage ever for THE PLAYERS Championship, taking place this week. The PGA TOUR’s flagship event will include 22 live hours of tournament coverage across GOLF Channel and NBC while NBC Sports’ week-long coverage also will include collaborations with Sky Sports Golf, which will re-brand itself as “Sky Sports: THE PLAYERS” for the duration of the Championship. In total, NBC Sports Group will dedicate more than 150 hours to live programming surrounding the tournament. Meanwhile, NBC Sports’ Emmy-nominated live tournament team will unveil a new graphics package customized specifically for THE PLAYERS, featuring the Championship’s signature blue, gold, and white color scheme. Coverage also will implement new original theme music for the event, including: eight high-definition cameras, the cable-suspended “FlyCam” system, wind-direction technology and Toptracer technology capability on all 18 holes.
 
NBCSN’s NASCAR America will exclusively announce nominees for the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2020 on Wednesday at 5p. Wednesday’s one-hour episode of NASCAR America Motormouths will feature in-depth discussions and highlight reels dedicated to the 20 nominees who have made significant advancements to NASCAR. Coverage will also include the announcement of the five nominees for the Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR.
 
ESPN+ is serving up another batch of Detail, with 15 episodes on deck. The first one features Bryant breaking down the performance of the Houston Rockets’ MVP candidate James Harden versus the Philadelphia 76ers. Each episode features Bryant’s high-level analysis and insights as he breaks down games and individual performances throughout the NBA, WNBA and college basketball.
 
beIN SPORTS announced that the third meeting of the Copa del Rey Tournament on March 2 drew an average audience of 669,000 total viewers for the match, according to Nielsen, across both beIN SPORTS networks. “We’re thrilled to see our viewership numbers reach more than 2.7 million, especially for these highly-anticipated matches and in spite of our distribution constraints,” said Antonio Briceño, Deputy Managing Director, beIN SPORTS USA. “We look forward to continued ratings growth for our exclusive LaLiga coverage, as well as all of our other world-class sports programming.”
 
Bryce Harper’s first game with the Phillies on Saturday delivered record ratings for NBC Sports Philadelphia. The network drew a 2.9 HH rating, up 311% over this year’s Spring Training average. On digital, the game on Saturday delivered 13.5K uniques and 546K live stream minutes, making it the most-streamed Phillies Spring Training game ever.
 
FloSports announced a multi-year agreement with Major League Soccer’s newest expansion team, FC Cincinnati, to provide live and on-demand coverage on FloFC.com for matches through the 2020 MLS season. The agreement includes regional coverage rights for all FC Cincinnati games not being aired by any of MLS’s national broadcast partners. FloSports will also provide FC Cincinnati with additional resources to film and produce in-depth features and interviews with team personnel to show fans what daily life looks like through the lens of players and coaches.

The Chicago Cubs relaunched their YouTube channel to promote content for their upcoming regional sports network, which goes live next year. The relaunched channel debuted Monday with 18 videos posted in the space of 15 minutes, featuring a blend of on-field and off-field clips, interviews, features and more.
 
WWE topped one billion fans through its global social media platforms, announcing 501 million likes on Facebook, 226 million followers on Instagram, 221 million on Twitter, and 46 million on YouTube. WWE’s 15 social media platforms include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Snapchat, Qzone, Toutiao, WeChat, V+, Weibo, YouKu, Periscope, Pinterest, Foursquare and Tumblr.

ESL is partnering with AT&T to launch the ESL Mobile Open presented by AT&T, a continental United States-based tournament that will take place throughout the year at events such as Dreamhack Dallas, ESL One New York, and Dreamhack Atlanta. Games are set to include Asphalt 9: Legends, Clash of Clans, and PUBG MOBILE with year one of The ESL Mobile Open set to run across three seasons, beginning March 18, with each season will be comprised of three phases, starting with Open Qualifier play allowing players of all skill levels to grind through 4 weeks of competition. Next, the field will be cut to the top 50% of players who move onto the Closed Qualifier stage. From that 50%, the field will be narrowed even further where the best players will see themselves featured in live broadcasts produced by ESL.
 
Wizards of the Coast, the Magic Pro League announced that OMEN by HP bought in to sponsor the upcoming Magic: The Gathering Arena Mythic Invitational at PAX East March 28–31. The event will see 64 top streamers, gamers, and professional Magic players compete for $1 million in prizes on top-of-the-line OMEN 880 desktop computers. The invitational will be held during the annual PAX East convention in Boston, MA from March 28–31, 2019, and broadcast live on twitch.tv/magic.
 
World Cyber Games released its lineup of games and tournament schedule leading up to the WCG 2019 Xi’an main event, and announced that it will begin accepting player registrations with titles set to include Clash Royale, Crossfire, Dota2, Hearthstone, Honor of Kings, and Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.
