While flexible work hours benefit employees, here are 3 ways employers benefit, too:
  1. Less absenteeism and tardiness. Employees needn’t call in sick or arrive late if they have to wait for a repairman or attend a teacher conference; they can tailor their hours to get the job done.
  2. A valuable recruiting tool. The best job candidates don’t have to settle for a company that doesn’t offer them a schedule that suits their work balance needs.
  3. More productive employees. Flexible hours boosts morale, making for happier employees who focus on the job at hand, not watching the clock.

Jeff Hughes was upped to President of Fox Networks Group’s Digital Consumer Group. Hughes was most recently President of Technology and Innovation of DCG, and an integral part of the launch of the company’s streaming platform.

Zihla Salinas has been appointed CEO of Content Marketing company Trailer Park Group and Matt Brubaker has been promoted to CEO & Creative Director of the Trailer Park Film Entertainment Division. Salinas joins from DonerLA, where she was EVP and Managing Director.
 
Bravo hired Sheonna Mix as Vice President, Current Production. Mix has served as executive producer for series on YouTube Red, VH1 and We tv, E! and Fox’s The Real.

Sony CFO Kenichiro Yoshida on April 1 will step into the CEO role, replacing Kaz Hirai, who has been CEO since he replaced Howard Stringer in 2012 and who now will become chairman of the company.
 
Unruly named Norm Johnson, most recently global CEO of Mindshare FAST and Mindshare’s global chief digital officer, as its new CEO.
 
Alexandar Vassilev, formerly top Google brass, was appointed CEO of 7TV, Discovery Communications and ProSiebenSat.1’s joint premium direct-to-consumer entertainment streaming service in Germany.
 
Former Visual Data execs Anita O’Donnell and Yives Reed have launched a media entertainment management consultancy Media Minds, designed to bridge the gap between technology and content, people and platforms.
  

Turner promoted Marie Hughes to Senior Vice President, Strategic Media Planning, and Michael Tatum to Senior Vice President, Turner Brand Experience. Both executives are based in Atlanta and will continue to report to Molly Battin, EVP, Global Chief Communications and Corporate Marketing Officer for Turner.
 
Production studio The Company elevated Tony Testa to President. Testa, the former SVP of Production and Business Affairs, has been overseeing all aspects of The Company’s production, development and network agreements for the past seven years.
 
Gil Barzilay has joined Eyeota as Vice President, Global Platforms. Barzilay was previously Director of Agency and Trading Desk Development at Datalogix.

Marketing agency Wild Card tapped Tim Heindl to serve as Head of Audience Insight and Strategy. Heindl joins Wild Card from Sony Pictures Entertainment, where he was SVP Strategic Marketing and Research.

Dianne Wilson has been named Vice President, Human Resources for Raycom Media. Wilson joined the company in 2001 as Benefits Director and was later promoted to Director of Human Resources and Employee Benefits.
