TNT is bringing out the star power when NBA All-Star hits LA from Feb. 15-18. The network detailed is coverage plans, which will culminate with captain-drafted teams squaring off for the first time on Feb. 18 and simulcast on TNT and TBS at 8p. Overall, the channel will carry more than 24 hours of programming dedicated to the event, with Marv Albert calling his 23rd NBA All-Star Game with analysts Reggie Miller and Chris Webber, along with reporters David Aldridge and Kristen Ledlow. Pregame starts at 7p and will include a special Sports & Society roundtable show featuring Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul and special guests, moderated by Angela Rye.
TNT tips off All-Star specific event coverage with the 2018 Mtn Dew Kickstart Rising Stars on Feb. 16 at 9p with analysts Grant Hill and Webber, along with reporter Andre Iguodala joining play-by-play announcer Kevin Harlan on the call. TNT’s multiple-time Sports Emmy Award-winning Inside the NBA team of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal will provide halftime and postgame coverage live from Los Angeles. While Saturday’s NBA Talent Challenge coverage will see Players Only: Shaq & Kobe presented by Autotrader, a one-hour interview between the former teammates at 7p.
