Amazon Prime has nearly 79 million U.S. households as members, reports MorningStar. At this rate of growth – up from about 66 million at the end of 2016 -Amazon Prime is quickly closing in on the projected 90 million households that will pay for cable or satellite TV this year, notes Recode.
