CYNOPSIS DIGITAL – TODAY’S TOP STORY:   Comcast fulfilled its obligation to disclose exactly how it manages broadband traffic for its 14 million internet customers and how future “congestion management” techniques will be deployed. The company will load new software onto its network beginning in December to determine if particular subscribers are hogging bandwidth and will temporarily give traffic from those subscribers a lower priority status. Subscribers who are assigned a lower status (less than 1% of users, predicts Comcast,) could suffer a slowdown if the network becomes congested.   Full edition: CYN DIGITAL.

CYNOPSIS KIDS – TODAY’S TOP STORYNYC-based Little Airplane Productions grows again with the launch of Little Airplane Films, a new division that will create/produce family-friendly movies (animated and live-action) for theatrical release.  Little Airplane’s head of production, Tom Brown, will helm little Airplane Films.  Known as creator/producer of preschool-targeted productions including The Wonder Pets, Go, Baby!, Oobi!, 3rds & Bird, earlier this year Little Airplane opened a studio in London. Full edition: CYN KIDS.

CYNOPSIS INTERNATIONAL – TODAY’S TOP STORY:   Eurosport is importing its high-def channel to Switzerland following a deal with Cablecom to offer Eurosport HD on its Cablecom Collection and Cablecom Sports & More packages in English and Italian.  This move marks the first time the channel will be broadcast in a German-speaking European territory.  In another European move, France’s CanalSat will bring in Eurosport HD to its satellite and ADSL-distributed offerings as of December 7.   Full edition: CYN INTERNATIONAL.
