Good Morning, it’s Monday, January 15, 2007 and this is your first early morning briefing, from the NATPE Convention in Las Vegas.

Today is Martin Luther King Day, and in recognition, there will be no Cynopsis publications sent today and the office is closed.  Look tomorrow for the next edition of Cynopsis, Cynopsis: Kids and Cynopsis: International & Multicultural Editions, and their accompanying podcasts and daily video, all being sent to you from Las Vegas and the annual NATPE Convention.

Thursday – A18-49 Analysis:  ABC led the charge on Thursday night with an overall 5.7/15 A18-49 rating, according to fast affiliate ratings from Nielsen Media Research. NBC’s combo of My Name is Earl and The Office won the 8p hour with a 4.8/13, a share point ahead of Ugly Betty.  At 9, Grey’s Anatomy dominated with a 9.3/22, nearly 3x the share of CBS and NBC who both managed an 8 share for the hour.  And at 10p NBC was back on top with ER’s 5.0/13.

Friday – A18-49 Analysis:  CBS was in front on Friday night with a 2.9/9 A18-49 rating, according to Nielsen Media Research.  At 8p CBS’ Ghost Whisperer won the hour with a 3.1/10, a share point in front of NBC’s gamer 1 vs. 100. At 9p Las Vegas on NBC took top honors with a 2.7/8. CBS was back on top at 10p posting a 3.0/9 for Numb3rs, while ABC and NBC followed each earning an 8 share for the hour.
