The agreement kicks off with the 2009-2010 academic year, giving ESPN a 60% bump in Sun Belt Conference games with telecasts now showing on ESPNU. ~ PRODUCTION & DEVELOPMENT ~

CBS and CBS Paramount Network Television are once again working with Canada’s CTV on a new police drama called The Bridge, with production beginning later this spring in Toronto. CBS approved 13 episodes of the series, which will air next season in the US on CBS and on Canada’s CTV. CBS also licensed the series from Toronto-based independent production company, E1 Entertainment. The Bridge is a procedural police drama focusing on Toronto police union leader, Craig Bromell. Aaron Douglas stars in the series along with Paul Popowich, Inga Cadranel, Frank Cassini, Theresa Joy, Ona Grauer, Michael Murphy and Stuart Margolin. The Bridge is produced by E1 Entertainment, 990 Multi Media Entertainment Company and Jonsworth Productions in association with CTV and CBS Paramount Network Television. This marks the second time CBS and CTV have collaborated on an original series. During the summer of 2008, both entities brought the original drama Flashpoint to both U.S. and Canadian television audiences.

Bravo tapped Isaac Mizrahi and Kelly Rowland to host its new reality competition series The Fashion Show. Both will head a panel of judges who will review the work of professional fashion designers. Already on board as a judge is Fern Mallis, who helped created New York’s Fashion Week. 3 Ball Productions will produce the series slated to debut on Bravo later this year.

25/7 Productions made a deal with music act Nelly to host Nelly’s Night in Vegas, a weekly primetime television show based in Las Vegas and showcasing major Hollywood stars. The series, produced by 25/7 Productions and Mad Cow, is executive produced by 25/7’s Dave Broome, Madeleine Smithberg and Nelly.

Casting Call: Fine Living Network is casting for a new reality series which will attempt to change an individual’s annoying flaw. Also send recent photos of the candidate and yourself to
.

Casting Call: MSN and Reveille (The Office, Ugly Betty, The Biggest Loser) are casting now in Palm Springs, Phoenix, Tucson, Eugene, Portland, Seattle, Madison, Milwaukee, Chicago, Boston, Maine for a new online series showcasing people’s inspirational stories of making a major life change and following their passion. Dynamic baby boomers (age 45-65, couples or individuals) that have left the corporate world to pursue a dream or are starting a “second act” in their lives in a new city, are encouraged to apply. To apply or nominate someone, send an email to
or call Sam at (818) 763-2100 ext 263. Include your full name(s), phone numbers, recent photos (close up and full body), age, height and weight, a brief bio, why you would be good for the show, what is interesting or unique about the city where you live, any city events that correspond with your passion, and list your favorite unique places to eat in your city.
