FOX Entertainment has acquired a stake in LA-based “experiential food phenomenon,” Chain, founded by B.J. Novak, through its studio Ramsay Global. The investment includes a first look development deal via Chain Media; ad sales and sponsorships; IP integrations through FOX’s portfolio of Gordon Ramsay series; and potential vertical video series through FOX’s recently announced stake in vertical video company Holywater.
Netflix handed a straight-to-series order for a drama series based on Charles Burns’ graphic novel, Black Hole. Jane Schoenbrun (“We’re All Going to the World’s Fair”) will write and direct.
USA Network has renewed the freshman legal thriller “The Rainmaker” for season two, slated to launch in 2026. The series from Lionsgate Television and Blumhouse Television averaged 1.3 million total viewers its first go-round.
Amplify Pictures (“100 Foot Wave”) and Duplass Brothers Productions have teamed up to produce comedic crime thriller series “Sleep King.” Directed by Jay Duplass (“Somebody Somewhere”), the independently financed series is written by Duplass and James Lee Freeman (“Ricky Stanicky”). Development is currently underway. “We are thrilled to be getting into bed with Amplify on ‘Sleep King’,” said Jay Duplass. “Their no nonsense ‘make great stuff with great people’ approach is the dream for this very special project about crime, love, and retail mattress sales.”
Secuoya Studios is working on the production of an eight-episode romantic thriller starring Can Yaman (“Sandokan”). The title represents Secuoya Studios Stories’ second major fiction project, following “The Crossroad,” the most-watched Spanish fiction premiere of the year on Antena 3.
Piller/Segan and Blink49 Studios have entered into a multi-year joint venture agreement for the development and production of a slate of premium scripted and unscripted content. Designed as a hub for “bold new projects,” the JV will take an open-door approach to building long-term IP and franchises across genres, encouraging crossover opportunities for concepts that work in multiple formats.
Exceptional Minds, the non-profit LA-based academy and studio preparing young adults on the Autism spectrum for careers in Hollywood, and Cartoon Network Studios unveiled today their latest collaboration: a new original animated shorts collection. Each of the four shorts was created by teams of Exceptional Minds’ alumni, supported by artists and producers at Cartoon Network Studios. The shorts collection premiered on Exceptional Minds’ YouTube channel on October 23. |

With seamless access to traditional TV inventory within the Programmatic Private Marketplace (PMP), media buyers can bid and target on linear TV alongside digital inventory. Post beta phase, which is currently underway with Comcast’s inventory, FreeWheel publisher clients will be able to enable their inventory. “One of the key pillars the advertising industry needs to deliver is simplicity for the marketer, and introducing biddable ads on traditional TV is a major step toward that goal, bringing ease, efficiency, and scale to programmatic campaign delivery,” said James Rooke, President of Comcast Advertising. “Buyers no longer need to patch together media plans. Now there’s a seamless way to buy, target, and optimize traditional TV alongside streaming media to hit what’s at the heart of advertising: reaching customers and driving outcomes.”
Agentic AI platform Clinch reports it has become the first third-party ad serving solution to serve ads to Amazon Custom Audiences, custom-built segments that can help brands reach and re-engage with shoppers directly via Amazon DSP. The privacy- and customer-centric solution is designed to help advertisers activate smarter, more relevant ad experiences across all Amazon DSP inventory, inclusive of owned and operated, and third-party inventory partners, while maintaining consumer privacy.
Teads announced the beta launch of CTV Performance, a solution that offers advertisers the ability to track site visits, leads, and sales directly tied to CTV exposure. “With this launch, we’re helping bridge the gap between brand and performance while making advanced measurement and optimization available to more advertisers,” said Hugues Templier, CTV Business Lead at Teads. “It’s a meaningful step toward democratizing CTV as a channel that delivers both attention and outcomes.”
LiveRamp announced expanded measurement capabilities that enable retail media networks to unlock new attribution insights from their Meta campaign investments through the LiveRamp Clean Room. By connecting Meta campaign results with their own first-party sales data, RMNs and their partners can see how off-property sites, including Meta, drive sales, orders, and ROAS across campaigns, brands, and products.
Samba TV has partnered with Aquila, a subsidiary of the Association of National Advertisers, to advance streaming video measurement within Aquila’s cross-media platform initiative. The partnership is a step toward building the industry’s first advertiser-owned, independent measurement solution capable of deduplicating reach and frequency across streaming services, linear television, and major digital walled gardens. The collaboration will progress through a multi-phase approach, with a full solution expected to be released in the second half of 2026. |

| DirecTV for Business has reached an agreement with Paramount+ to bring European soccer to commercial establishments with CBS Sports’ UEFA Champions League. All CBS Sports’ UEFA Champions League matches on Paramount+ are now available through DirecTV for Business and its network of more than 300,000 bars, restaurants, and other commercial establishments.
The American Association of Professional Baseball (AAPB) announced growth across digital media, broadcast viewership, and sponsorship partnerships. Key growth highlights include television viewership rising 41%year over year, with games broadcast across nine major platforms, and 1.60 million fans in total attendance, leading all MLB Partner Leagues for the third consecutive year. “This data confirms what we have felt all season, that our fans are more connected than ever,” said Joshua Schaub, Commissioner of the American Association.” |

| The October 7 episode of ABC’s “High Potential” hit a multiplatform season high in Total Viewers (12.50 million) and Adults 18-49 (2.31 rating) after seven days of viewing, and was the first 10p drama to rank number one on television since “ER” in the 1999-2000 season. On linear, the show scored 8.09 million Total Viewers and a 0.71 rating among A18-49.
The Buccaneers/Lions game generated an audience of 18.8 million viewers, making it ESPN’s most-watched “Monday Night Football” Week 7 game ever and up 19% from last season’s early “MNF” Week 7 game (Ravens/Buccaneers), which also aired on ESPN and ABC. |
