Thanksgiving weekend brought the deaths of two beloved TV actors. Ron Glass (Barney Miller, Firefly) died November 26 of respiratory failure. He was 71. “He got there with grace, humor & an enormous heart,” shared Firefly creator Joss Whedon on social media. “He was, among so many other things, my Shepherd.”
Two days earlier came word that actress Florence Henderson had passed. She was “a doll and a dame and funny as hell,” tweeted Michael McKean. Henderson, who died of heart failure at age 82, remained active until the end. In addition to starring on drama The Eleventh, on streaming service Feeln, she had attended the Dancing With the Stars finale last Monday night.
