NBC Sports sees a change in Winter

After reeling in a record $1.23 billion in ad sales for the Rio Olympics, Seth Winter, NBC EVP, Advertising Sales at NBC Sports, is shifting to an advisory role with the company. Word went wide after Linda Yaccarino, NBCUniversal’s Chairman of Advertising Sales and Client Partnerships, notified employees via memo, writing that “Just like Phelps and Bolt, Seth is going out on top after years of bringing home the gold—and we are so grateful for his dedication,” and adding that “Seth remains one of the toughest negotiators you’ll ever meet, and he’s never stopped looking to create opportunities for clients who wanted to be a part of the biggest moments in sports.”

Winter’s advisory role will run through 2018, when the group carries the Super Bowl and the Winter Olympics while Telemundo serves up the World Cup.
