After launching a striking Women’s World Cup promo during the Daytona 500, FOX Sports detailed its marketing plans for thus summer’s event to mark the 100 day countdown to the tournament. The spot will see a 30-second version running during a coordinated 21st Century Fox 34-channel prime time roadblock on tonight around 8p. Participating channels include: FOX, FOX News Channel, FX, FXX, FXM, National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo Wild, FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2, FOX Deportes, FOX Soccer Plus, Big Ten Network and FOX Sports’ 22 owned-and-operated regional sports networks. Other promotional tools include Weather-Controlled Digital Billboards which will see 15-second ads run 24/7 on digital billboards in Times Square and LA Live over a four-day span. FOX Sports 1 will also showcase three classic FIFA Women’s World Cup matches featuring the USWNT on that date starting at 8a while the FOXSports.com home page will be taken over with the same messaging as the digital billboard and a 100-Day countdown clock.
