London-based digital distribution company Rightster acquired European multi-channel network Base79 for $85.6 million yesterday. Rightster helps more than 850 creators and 7,500 publishers license and distribute their work on the internet, and is now the largest MCN outside of North America (and fourth largest within). Base79 has more than 1.1 billion video views per month.
