VP of Broadcast Engineering

We are seeking a full-time VP of Broadcast Engineer to be in charge of Studio and Facilities for our television headquarters in New York with additional locations in Boca Raton, Florida, and Washington, DC locations. This Engineer will plan, design, and operate productions for Newsmax facilities. 

This position involves supervision of a year-round 24 hrs./7 days  studio, studios control rooms, post production, and news editing infrastructure.

The VP Broadcast Engineering will be in charge of all aspects relating to managing the technical operation of the broadcast environment and facility.

The ideal candidate will have deep understanding of maintaining High Definition broadcast standards and evolving broadcast technology in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the planning, management, installation, and maintenance of the networks technical infrastructure: studios, transmitters, digital production platforms and automated systems.

Appropriate management and oversight of studio and control room operations

Knowledge and ability to integrate broadcast operations with IT and experience dealing with transmission and distribution issues

Ability to deploy in the field to coordinate special events as it relates to production and transmission.

Must possess in-depth knowledge of logistics and costs associated with procuring equipment and adherence to operating budgets.

Develop, manage and adjust capital facilities planning to anticipate business needs

Assure 24-7 technical and operational integrity for the TV and digital operations with particular emphasis on error-free operations

Perform routine maintenance
