VP Marketing Strategy & Partnerships

Position Summary

Lead major campaigns and daily operations including ideation and strategy, implementation of plans, mobilizing/leading teams quickly and effectively. Provide thinking that challenges the status quo to develop breakthrough campaigns that drive awareness and tune-in. Inspire strategic thinking that ensures the brand continues to be bold and unique.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate closely with Media Strategies and Analytics to evaluate performance, plan strategies, and create and execute media plans. Act nimbly to innovate in all areas of media evaluation, planning, and targeting/optimization.
2. Partner with Brand Creative team and outside agencies as needed, to create breakthrough creative that drives ratings, awareness and brand affinity.
3. Work closely with Domestic Distribution and TVE teams to promote network priorities.
4. Engage internal and external partners to creative and execute brand partnerships and experiential activations.
5. Liaise with the Talent Relations team on efforts to maximize promotional opportunities with talent.
6. Establish close working relationships with other internal teams including programming, digital/social, production, scheduling, research and communications. Work cross-departmentally with these teams to develop seamless successful campaigns.
7. Create synergies across the Discovery portfolio of brands designed to extend campaign efforts.
8. Have a strong knowledge (and stay current) of the media landscape and how it applies to the Food Network audience and campaigns.
9. Apply marketplace best practices for promotion planning including tracking and analysis of network consumer activations, tent-pole programming events/stunts, and other strategic partnerships.
10. Full oversight of marketing budget, and responsibility for hitting annual budget targets, while managing in the best interest of DCI.
11. Work closely with the digital/social/DTC teams to create synergistic opportunities.
12. Lead a team in New York in day to day responsibilities and career growth.
