Sales Planner

The primary purpose of this job is to assist in the maintenance of accounts/campaigns across all SPTAS properties. This position will interface with the Vice President, Pricing and Planning, Senior Management, Account Executives, and Traffic as well as third party relationships as directed by Senior Management.  This position will manage advertiser campaigns from inception to completion including the creation of media plans, stewardship, as well as providing a post analysis with insights.  The position will address inventory issues using CPM analysis, revenue at risk, revenue reporting, and provide custom reports as directed by management. ​

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support and research to VP, Pricing and Analysis and/or a person designated by Senior Management
  • Provide sales with creative and strategic media plans to increase sales and drive revenue
  • Ensure a high level of customer service with clients and internal teams as directed by management
  • Troubleshoot potential issues that would cause loss of revenue by working with the Traffic team and maintaining integration deadlines
  • Proactively address inventory issues, revenue at risk and CPM analysis
  • Monitor reserved inventory & determine with Sales team on reservation expiration
  • Provide management with weekly report of all inventory working, hold, ordered, sell-out levels and revenue reports
  • Support Senior Management in generating solutions for forecasting revenue
  • Create special reports and analysis, as needed, to target new advertisers and grow existing business
  • Monitor campaign pacing to ensure there is no over/under delivery on deals/campaigns using third-party reporting
  • Cross pollination across all Sony properties, which currently includes, general rate syndication, Direct Response syndication, General Rate/DR cable and :10s
  • Prospect for new business and identify targets for sales team
  • Ensure a high level of customer service with all clients and internal teams
  • Directly support Account Executives & Sales Associates throughout all aspects of the sales process
  • Work on inventory issues, revenue at risk etc. and revenue and CPM analysis reports weekly
  • Manage inventory across all business’: :30s, :10s, Cable
  • Customize reports for Account Executives and track their client’s overall delivery
