Project Manager, Short Form, Social and Interactive Content

Overview and Responsibilities

Reporting to Sr. Director, Project Management, this position will primarily be responsible for the project management of the work created for the Nickelodeon brand social, YouTube, and interactive content platforms. This will entail partnering with both internal and external clients, strategy, briefing and creative teams throughout the entire life cycle of the project – from content ideation and strategy, through briefing, kickoffs, production, approvals, and delivery. The manager will serve as the central point of contact for the projects they are assigned, providing clear and concise planning and communication to all involved stakeholders. They will be expected to work independently and proactively while using a variety of management styles and techniques.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Understand business goals and objectives of each assignment, and identify optimal processes and procedures to ensure successful outcomes of the projects
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for platform strategy (YouTube/Social/Interactive), Marketing, Creative, Design, as well as external stakeholders and clients
  • Proactively partner with internal clients to ensure strategy and briefing assignments are accurate and are in line with agreed-upon timelines
  • Receive, verify, distribute and kick off all briefs and assignments in a timely manner
  • Drive projects forward, ensuring clear, on-going and transparent communication among cross-functional teams and partners throughout the life cycle of a project
  • Partner with production and design teams on appropriate team assignments
  • Create actionable schedules for each piece of creative briefed, track progress against schedule and communicate follow-ups and adjustments as needed
  • Monitor project health, proactively problem-solving and communicating changes and status to teams
  • Anticipate, obtain and communicate stakeholder feedback and work with the teams to adjust or respond to feedback
  • Provide realistic budget-related feedback to scope or schedule creep
  • Identify and help implement new processes to further collaboration and efficiencies
  • Consistently evaluate processes and sequencing used, escalating challenges & proposing possible solutions
  • Update project management systems so projects are tracked and status is up to date
