2016 Rising Star Awards Entries - Call for Entries Now Closed

Cynopsis Media’s 2016 Rising Stars program honors those with the smarts, maturity, and composure that give them the potential to be one of the next generation’s leaders. They may be 30 years old or younger, but they bring amazing energy and creativity to their work.

These awards are designed to encourage and reward exceptional accomplishment. So enter yourself or the most promising young professionals on your team for Cynopsis Media’s Rising Stars competition.

Who Should Enter?

The Rising Star Awards are open to industry professionals aged 30 and under, spanning across all aspects of the business including:


■ Production companies/studios ■ Distribution ■ Advertising ■ Sales ■ Lyricists ■ Marketing ■ Public Relations		■ e-Book creator/producers ■ Technology ■ Finance ■ Legal ■ Production ■ and more!

Vendors are also eligible to compete on behalf of a client. The program is open to national and international entrants.

Eligibility Period

To be eligible, the nominee must have been employed (either in part or in full) between June 1, 2015, and June 30, 2016.

All entries are held in strict confidence and we will not share information unless we receive permission from the entrant.

How to Enter

The entry process is completed soley online:
First, you will be guided through the registration process, and then the nomination (synopsis + supporting materials) and payment process.

You can nominate yourself or your colleagues. While not all of the sections are mandatory, we do recommend providing as much information as possible. The more content provided, the better!

Please include a 400-word synopsis describing the individual, using the following sub headings:

■ The nominee’s name
■ The nominee’s position (title and organization)
■ The nominee’s age
■ Your professional relationship to the nominee (*you can self-nominate)
■ A brief synopsis on why this young pro should be honored with a Rising Star award (max 500 words)
■ At least 3 concrete examples of his or her stellar achievements over the past year (specific campaigns, events, programs – proof that this person shines!)
■ A sample of his or her work and/or supporting materials (media clips, press materials, campaign results and any other relevant items)
■ Nominee’s contact information (full name, title, organization, email and phone) – we will not contact the nominee directly until after the results have been announced
■ Your name and contact information so that we may follow up with questions during the judging process

Supporting materials should show evidence of the success of their/your work, examples include:

Web sites/URLs * ROI Stats * Media Coverage * Photos * Research Documents * Screenshots * Testimonials * Videos * Web Stats. For videos, please upload the raw file (mov, wma or mp4) or provide a link to the content to be viewed (youtube, vimeo, company’s website or another video sharing platform).

Respondents are not required to answer all questions to be considered (except where indicated), but we do encourage you to provide as much information as possible so that we can evaluate each submission fairly and accurately. Both domestic and international organizations are eligible to enter and will be judged on the content submitted.

Deadlines

All entries must be submitted online by June 24, 2016 at 11:59pm EST. Entries submitted between June 25 and July 1, 2016, will automatically incur a $175 late fee, per entry. Finalists will be notified in late July and honored in September 2016 in New York City.

Entry Fees

The price of each entry is $399. Payment in full must accompany the entry and is not refundable.

There is a late entry surcharge of $175 per entry beginning June 25, 2016.

Receipts:
Once your entry is submitted and paid for, you will be emailed a receipt confirming the payment. The receipt includes payment date, amount and card number. You can also download a full Invoice that has all the entries paid for listed on it.
