Coca-Cola partnered with ESPN with an eye toward owning high-scale video (KPI: video views) during the college football season, resulting in the launch of “SportsCenter Must See,” described as “a first of its kind video franchise, aimed to bring the top viral video content to fans on whatever ESPN devices and platforms they are consuming sports content. ESPN’s social production resources created and distributed the video content daily in real-time. In just one week’s time, Coke sponsored video delivered 75M native impressions across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (all organic, non-paid), 16M native video views across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and 1M ESPN.com video views with Coke pre-roll.
