ESPN & Straight Talk Wireless – NBA Finals Periscope

ESPN and Straight Talk Wireless teamed up for the NBA Finals Periscope campaign. With STW serving as the presenting sponsor of ESPN’s NBA Finals pregame show on TV but not as an official NBA partner, the brand sought to build upon their “Straight Talk” brand messaging by partnering with ESPN to develop an interactive experience at every NBA Finals game in an IP-free manner. During halftime, key NBA talent would host a 5-10 minute Periscope directly with NBA fans the delivered first-half analysis and the best submitted questions. The activation saw over 2.27M total viewers, with 681K on Twitter and 1.59M on Instagram, as ESPN lifted footage onto Instagram over the course of the 7 game NBA Finals.
