The NFL brought joy to FOX over the weekend, as the channel reports back-to-back wins as the top-rated NFL telecast of the period as the Rams win over the Saints in America’s Game of the Week drew a 15.8/32 metered market Nielsen sore, and up 13% over last year’s comparable window. The regional game, meanwhile, averaged an 11.4/25 to marks the network’s top performer for a regional contest since 2013, and up 21% over last year.
CBS Sports’ second singleheader week of the 2019 NFL season on Sunday delivered a 19% ratings uptick over its comparable second singleheader week last year. The NFL on CBS drew a 9.9/22 average household rating/share in the metered markets. The two singleheaders-to-date on CBS in 2019 are averaging a 10.1/22, up 6% from a 9.5/20 for the first two singleheaders of the 2018 season, which is the best metered market average for the first two singleheaders of the season on CBS since 2016.
Meanwhile, NBC’s Sunday Night Football continued to rank as the evening’s top primetime show despite a dip for the Eagles/Falcons matchup in overnight numbers, notching a 12.2/22 to double the night’s number two show in 60 Minutes
