The Walking Dead exec producers Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert, and Charles Eglee, yesterday started their filing breach of contract suit in NY against AMC, claiming they were denied their fair share of profits. At the same time the trio released a peace-keeping statement. “While we disagree with AMC on the merits of our lawsuit, we appreciate its statement that it will continue to work with us as partners on the continued success of The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead and The Talking Dead,” the three announced. “We also reaffirm our commitment to continue to make the best programs possible.” The NY summons follows a jury seeking suit filed on the same grounds August 14 in LA. AMC called that action “baseless and predictably opportunistic.”
