Universal Sports Network revealed its talent lineup for its upcoming coverage of the Boston Marathon on April 21 from 8:30a to 1p. Al Trautwig and Larry Rawson call the race while Frank Shorter, Josh Cox and Juli Benson along with host Paul Sunderland round out all pre- and post-race coverage. This year’s telecast will utilize a total of 30 cameras, three mobile units, one airplane, two trucks, two motorcycles and 170 production crew. UniversalSports.com will also feature a “finish line web cam” that will allow fans to watch runners cross the finish line. “The Boston Marathon itself should be a living memorial to those who suffered in the tragedy, this race will go on forever, and we want to show the entire nation that despite what anybody tried to do it is now stronger and more determined,” said Universal Sports Senior VP of Production Deal Walker in a conference call, according to THR. “There’s no reason for us to push aside the tragedy. It’s not something that should ever be done because there’s so many people who suffered.”
