The Mountain West Conference is looking for the warmth of Friday Night Lights, announcing yesterday that the league was shifting a slate of football games to Fridays this season in an effort to get in front of a national audience. Games will be carried on CBS Sports Network and ESPN/ESPN2, beginning Sept. 5 with Washington State/Nevada at 7:30p PT on ESPN or ESPN2. Other notable games include Northern Illinois/UNLV on Sept. 12 on CBS Sports Network, Fresno State/Boise State on Oct. 17 and BYU/Boise State on Oct. 24. Additional broadcasts by CBS Sports Network, ESPN networks, Root Sports, and the Mountain West Network powered by Campus Insiders will be announced in the coming weeks.
