Jimmy Kimmel will pay tribute to two classic sitcoms and their creator in a live, 90-minute prime-time event, Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Norman Lear’s “All in the Family” and “The Jeffersons”. The late night host teams with Lear and executive producers Brent Miller, Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Justin Theroux for the special, airing Wednesday, May 22 at 8p on ABC, which will recreate an original episode from each of series. Lear and Kimmel will host the show, which will be directed by 10-time Emmy winner James Burrows. Woody Harrelson has the role of Archie Bunker, joined by Marisa Tomei as Edith Bunker; Jamie Foxx and Wanda Sykes are playing George and Louise Jefferson. Ellie Kemper will play Gloria Stivic, Will Ferrell will appear as Tom Willis, and Justina Machado is set to play Florence Johnston. More stars will be named later.
