It didn’t take long for Jason Whitlock to find a new home, with FOX Sports detailing his anticipated new deal with the company. Whitlock, of course, worked there from 2007-2013 and will now return as a columnist and on-air personality effective immediately. Whitlock made the announcement via a column on http://j.school/, described as a “newly minted FOX Sports Digital property being developed as an outlet exclusively for his work. Whitlock’s columns will now appear daily on J.school, and a podcast is also in the works. In addition, the company is developing a show for FS1 that will feature him as a main contributor and is targeting an early 2016 launch date.
“Jason Whitlock has been a prominent voice covering all areas of our culture with thought-provoking commentary for 25 years,” said FOX Sports President, National Networks Jamie Horowitz. “At FS1, we are consistently looking for people with perspectives who are independent, original and fearless. Jason’s columns, podcasts and work on PTI have offered fans new ways to look at the sports world. We are eager to add his voice to FS1.”
