The Golden Globes nominations were announced this morning, and Big Little Lies (just renewed by HBO for another run, and hastily switched to the drama series category from limited series for the Producers Guild Awards), topped show winners with 6 nods. FX’s Feud: Bette and Joan nabbed 4, and FX’s Fargo, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale and NBC’s This Is Us scored 3 each.
By network, HBO topped the heap with 12 nominations, followed by Netflix (9), FX (8), NBC and Showtime (5 each) and ABC, Amazon, Hulu and USA Network (3 each). Biggest surprise: HBO perennial Emmy winner Veep didn’t make the Golden Globe nomination cut for the first time.
