Just in time for the Upfront marketplace hoopla, Google tweaked its AdSense technology to enable the company to remove ads from individual website pages containing offensive content. Up to now, Google would simply remove all ads from an entire website if one page had offensive content. In addition, the coming weeks will see the tech giant roll out new tools including one that will provide website owners know why it removed certain ads. “One of the top requests we hear from publishers is that they want more transparency about how we respond to policy violations on their content. They want more information about why we remove ads on their websites and more help to resolve issues quickly, minimizing the impact on their bottom line.”
