A flurry of news yesterday detailing a programming overhaul at FS1. News included network canceling its studio show Fox Sports Live, ending its run with show hosts Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole, whose final show ran earlier this week. FS1 will now place MLB Whiparound in the 11p slot once MLB season kicks in. Meanwhile, The Sporting News and Awful Announcing write that Katie Nolan series Garbage Time will also see the end of its run, at least in its current incarnation, with Nolan now being eyed for a variety of new shows that could run in late-night, morning or afternoon.
“Following the success of her Emmy Award-winning original program GARBAGE TIME, including the show’s successful daily hour-long run during Super Bowl Week, we could not be more excited about Katie Nolan’s future with FOX Sports and we look forward to further developing her role at FS1,” Charlie Dixon, executive vice president of content for FS1 and FS2, said in a statement to the press.
