FOX Sports 1 is taking sports to the barbershop, announcing the launch of Back to the Shop, where, according to the network, “this generation’s superstar athletes talk smack, let their opinions fly, share hilarious stories and recount tales of past glory with some very special friends and a very special barber.” The half-hour series is filmed at Jordan Sport Barbershop featuring barber Jose Moises Lopez, aka Jordan, and premieres Saturday, May 24 at 7p before moving to its regular time slot on Tuesdays at 8:30p on May 27, where it will be paired each week with The Pecos League, another series from FOX Sports Originals. The premiere episode features Red Sox slugger David Ortiz, Yankees outfielder Alfonso Soriano, New York Knicks point guard Iman Shumpert and the NBA’s Larry Johnson.
