ESPN goes high tech for the NBC Draft

As the Zion era dawns, ESPN is going high-tech with its coverage of the 2019 NBA Draft presented by State Farm, tipping off June 20 at 7:30 p. Marking its 17th consecutive year of exclusive coverage of the league’s selection process, ESPN will deploy a trio of high-productions cameras at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where the New Orleans Pelicans are expected to select Zion Williamson with the No. 1 overall pick. ESPN will track the former Duke star forward and other key prospects with Rail Cam, which runs the length of the stage and will provide new angles and high-end looks following a selection. 4 Point Cam affords coverage from the rafters, while Post Pick Cam is designed to deliver shots as the picks make their way through the ensuing media circus.

Marty Smith will helm a watch party in New Orleans, while the top draftees will join ESPN’s on-site talent roster: Rece Davis, Jay Biulas, Chauncey Billups, Mike Schmitz, Bobby Marks, Adrian Wojnarowski .and Maria Taylor A special two-hour edition of The Jump, ESPN’s daily NBA show hosted by Rachel Nichols, will air live from the “green carpet” at the Barclays Center, starting at 3 p, while other dedicated pre-event coverage is on tap at 7p.
