Emmy Update: Colin Jost and Michael Che, Saturday Night Live “Weekend Update” anchors and Emmy-nominated co-head writers of the NBC series, will take the stage as hosts of the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards. The telecast will be exec-produced by SNL creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels, and air live coast to coast from LA Live on Monday, September 17 from 8-11p. “NBC is thrilled to be the home of this year’s Emmy Awards and with Colin and Michael in the driver’s seat as hosts, along with surprise appearances by other cast members of Saturday Night Live,” said Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment. Emmy noms will be announced Thursday, July 12.
