Disney Channel is amping up its British accent. Parent Walt Disney Co.’s EMEA division is in production on spooky four-parter Evermoor, the company’s biggest-ever production out of the U.K. and the first live-action movie produced in the U.K. to air on the network. Slated to bow this fall in more than 160 countries, Evermoor is about American teen Tara Bailey, who moves across the pond to “a beautiful but isolated village on the edge of some very creepy moors,” according to a release. The movie is a co-production with Liverpool-based indie Lime Productions. Project creators are Tim Compton and Diane Whitely (House of Anubis), with a script from Bede Blake (House of Anubis, Strange Hill High). Exec producers are Rebecca Hodgson (Good Cop, Stolen) and Compton. Disney’s EMEA division is on a roll. The team is at work on the third season of Violetta, Disney EMEA’s first original live-action series, which has drawn 38 million-plus viewers and currently ranks as the No. 1 show in 10 markets. The EMEA unit is also behind successful Disney Junior shows including Jungle Junction and Henry Hugglemonster, and Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, on Disney XD.
