CBS Sports unveiled its plans for the college football season, lining up new faces for its broadcasts and selecting its first SEC games of the year. The company’s 14th consecutive season of national coverage of the conference kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 3:30p with Georgia/South Carolina with 16 games slated during the network’s 14-week season. The channel will carry double headers on Oct. 11 and Nov. 8 as well as the SEC Championship on Dec. 6. Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson will call the game.
New faces in the mix include Allie LaForce joining Lundquist and Danielson as reporter. She joined CBS Sports in 2012 and hosts the late night series Lead Off on CBS Sports Network and serves as a college basketball sideline reporter. Meanwhile, the company named Adam Zucker as host of College Football Today, the Network’s pre-game, halftime and post-game studio show, joining analysts Brian Jones and Spencer Tillman. Zucker has been lead anchor for CBS Sports Network hosting studio shows including Inside College Football and Inside College Basketball.
