CBS Corp. announced yesterday that its board of directors is in the process of selecting outside counsel to conduct an independent investigation into accusations of sexual misconduct against its chairman and CEO, Leslie Moonves. “No other action was taken on this matter at today’s board meeting,” said the company. Interest in what would transpire at the regularly scheduled meeting was high, following an expose in the New Yorker that outlined six charges of harassment and assault against Moonves. CBS shares dipped 5%, to $51.28.
