As has been reported for months, Apple is preparing to ramp up its original video efforts. And according to a new report from the Financial Times, the company may soon snatch up a famous bit of real estate to help make it happen. The tech giant may set up shop in the Culver Studios, a famed Hollywood production space that’s been used by legendary producers like Cecil B. Demille and David O. Selznick. According to the Financial Times, Apple may lease space on the lot that’s next door to Sony Pictures. Speaking of Sony, Apple nabbed Sony TV’s now-former co-Presidents, Jamie Erlicht and Zack Van Amburg, back in June. Wherever Apple sets up shop, the pair will lead its original content efforts. Apple hasn’t commented on the Financial Times report.
