Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, launching season four on May 30, is ending its run on Netflix, according to Deadline. It might not be the end of the line – the streamer and the show’s producer, Universal Television are in talks for a movie that would bring the series to a close.
Empire’s reign continues. FOX has renewed the hip-hop family drama, from Lee Daniels, Danny Strong, Image Television and 20th Century Fox TV, for a fifth season. Brett Mahoney, who stepped in to help lead the series for the second half of season four, will continue as showrunner.
The streamer also secured an agreement with Sony Pictures Television for exclusive on-demand streaming rights to ABC’s hit drama, The Good Doctor. The show’s complete first season is now available with future episodes becoming available the day after their original broadcast on ABC.
HBO picked up Westworld for season three, just nine days after the launch of season two. “From the inspired storytelling to the incredible visuals, we are so excited to see where this next chapter will take us,” said HBO programming chief Casey Bloys.
