Position: Director, Business & Legal Affairs

Location: Santa Monica, CA
You will be responsible for…
• Structuring, negotiating and closing a heavy volume of production, development, talent and acquisition deals
• Providing day-to-day legal support for the development, production and marketing of television shows
• Advising internal clients on deal structures, rights and clearance issues, music licensing, distribution matters, the structure and administration of sweepstakes and contests, sponsorships, product integration, new media initiatives, copyright/trademark issues and other production and marketing matters
• Drafting and negotiating a wide variety of documents and agreements, including location agreements, depiction releases, consulting agreements, contestant releases, game play rules, vendor agreements, format licenses, production services agreements, above-the-line agreements, cross-promotion agreements, and official rules for sweepstakes and contests
• Reviewing and approving advertising and marketing materials, including press releases, promotional copy, scripts and on-air spots
• Performing other business and legal affairs-related tasks as may be assigned
