Turner Sports / Lagardère Sports / PGA of America – The American Captain presented by Mercedes-Benz

2016 saw Turner Sports, Lagardére Sports and the PGA of America partner with Mercedes-Benz and Chase Sapphire in a move to launch a 12-part “All-access” digital video series that chronicled the road to golf’s biennial international classic, The Ryder Cup. The American Captain presented by Mercedes-Benz shadowed United States team Captain Davis Love III throughout the year as he worked to assemble a team of America’s finest players with both 5-7 minute “.com” versions as well as shorter, Facebook-specific versions. In total, the 12 digital vignettes garnered over 13.2 million impressions on social alone (not including views on
RyderCup.com and Bleacher Report), surpassing impression goals by 133%.
