TV Awards

The Cynopsis TV Awards salute excellence in national TV programming, from writing and directing to casting and hosting. In addition, we recognize outstanding achievement across teams, platforms, and overall merit.

The awards are open to all individuals and teams worldwide including: production companies/studios, producers, networks, composers, lyricists, animators, video game developers/producers, website developers, mobile & app developers/producers, e-book creators/producers, licensing companies, marketing companies, pr firms, ad agencies, creative services teams, developers, interactive advertising/media, online film/video, and social content. 

Eligibility

  • To be eligible, the entry must have taken place (either in part or in full) between May 2016 and November 27, 2017.
  • Some of the work must have occurred during this time, but it’s not necessary for it to be completed during the eligibility period.
  • Multiple entries are accepted, and a single entry can be submitted in more than one category
  • Please follow the “How to Enter” instructions here for each additional category

Vendors are also eligible to submit on behalf of a client, and the award program is open to national and international entrants.

Buyers & Planners Awards

These awards honor the most creative and dynamic media buyers and planners working in linear and digital content. They’re forward thinkers, superb communicators, and strategic executors of campaigns that run on broadcast, cable, and digital platforms. Any domestic agency media department, media buying service, or in-house advertising agency media department is eligible. 

Who Should Enter?

The program is open to brands and agency professionals from across the TV/Media industry including:

Vendors are also eligible to submit on behalf of a client, and nominations are open to national and international entrants.

Eligibility Period

To be eligible, the nominee must have been employed (either in part or in full) between September 1, 2016, and November 17, 2017.

All submissions are held in strict confidence and we will not share information unless we receive permission from the entrant.

Compiling Your Entries

The entry process is completed solely online:
First, you will be guided through the registration process, and then the nomination (synopsis + supporting materials) and payment process.

For TV Award Campaign/Content Categories:
Please include a 400-word synopsis describing your campaign, content, initiative, website (etc.) using the following subheadings:

  • Objectives
  • Strategy
  • Tactics
  • Execution
  • Evaluation of Success/Results/ROI

Supporting materials should include the evidence of the success of your work. Examples include: Websites / ROI Stats / Media Coverage / Photos / Research Documents / Screenshots / Testimonials / Videos / Web Stats/

While these headings are not mandatory, we do recommend using as many as you can as it relates to your entry. The more information provided, the better!

For Media Buyer / Planner People Awards:
Please include a 400-word synopsis describing the individual, using the following subheadings:

  • A brief synopsis on why the nominee should be included in Cynopsis Media’s Buyers & Planners list (max 400 words)
  • Provide 3 concrete examples of his or her stellar achievements over the past year (specific campaigns, events, programs – proof that this person shines!)
  • A sample of the nominee’s work and/or supporting materials (media clips, press materials, campaign results and any other relevant items)
  • Nominee’s contact information (full name, title, organization, email and phone) – we will not contact the nominee directly until after the results have been announced
  • Your name and contact information so that we may follow up with questions during the judging process

While these headings are not mandatory, we do recommend using as many as you can as it relates to your entry. The more information provided, the better!

TV Awards

  • The price of each primary entry is $399;
  • If you submit the same entry into multiple categories, the additional fee is $200 per category;
  • Late entry surcharge of $200 per entry;
  • Payment in full must accompany the entry.
  • All entries are non-returnable and non-refundable.

Receipts: once your entry is submitted and paid, you will be emaied a receipt confirming the payment. The receipt includes payment date, amount and card number. You can also download a full invoice that has all the entries paid for listed on it.

FAQ

1. How are the entries judged?
Entries are judged by a blue chip panel of corporate, agency and academic executive as well as by the staff of Cynopsis Media. We evaluate your entry based on creativity, innovation, sound planning, implementation and outcomes. the most important criterion is proven success in aligning your strategic objectives with your end goals.

2. When will I be notified about the status of my entry?
You will be contacted by Cynopsis staff regarding your entry only if you are named a finalist in the award program. Finalists will be notified at the end of December 2017.

3. Can I enter my campaign in more than one category?
Yes, after the initial $399 payment other categories will cost $200 each. Please include separate entries for each category. Also, there is no limit to number of campaigns you can enter.

4. Must we include our campaign budget?
It’s not a requirement, but it helps the judges to better compare your entry against other submissions. Include at least a reasonable budget range. the judges always take into account the budget relative to the goals and outcome. All information is confidential and will not be published.
