Digital media innovators gathered on a crisp, cold Friday for the annual Cynopsis Model D and It List Awards. It was a surprisingly lively crowd for an early start, goosed by the event’s first presenter, Lou Diamond Phillips. Fubo Sports host Julie Stewart-Binks laughed about having to follow Phillips but proved more than up to the task. Next up was presenter comedian Jack Usher, from Pumped.com, who was tasked with calling out the It List winners.

Meredith Kinsman, SVP, Digital Strategy at Octagon, presented the Luminary Award to Rebecca Lowe, host of NBC Sports Group’s Premier League.

MTV professional matchmaker Devyn Simone was morning’s the final presenter. “This is literally a room full of geniuses here,” noted Simone.

Winner - HISTORY & USAA: Honoring Veterans

In 2018, USAA and HISTORY joined forces to commemorate Veterans Day, the anniversary of D-Day, and the men and women who serve(d) our country with a custom content series. This project was centered around real-life personal stories with unique characters and heartfelt moments that connected with viewers, and drove strong social engagements and meaningful cultural dialogue. To reinforce the authenticity of the messaging, subjects were USAA members.
