Hemisphere owns and operates Pantaya, the leading Spanish-language subscription video on demand (SVOD) service in the U.S., streaming the biggest names and most popular titles in Spanish entertainment via its premium catalog of original series and top-grossing movies.
Pantaya has grown rapidly in its first three years, and the company is seeking a seasoned senior product manager to (1) own the user experience and drive feature development for a major build and ongoing maintenance of its streaming apps, from mobile to Web to connected devices, (2) expand funnel and retention testing to fuel growth and (3) lead with data-driven decisions through analytics ownership and helping shape opportunities for customer insights (4) support stakeholders with new initiatives geared at supporting continued growth of the business. This role will report to the VP of Product.
Work in partnership with design, technology, content, customer service and marketing teams to deliver a best-in-class streaming experience across multiple device platforms.
Own the user experience and feature set and oversee integrations of 3rd party platforms into the product.
Own AB testing for engagement campaigns, new features and customer onboarding, including the registration and purchase flow.
Integrate data analytics, product metrics, user experience research, and competitive analysis, to drive prioritization of product features and enhancements Develop and present strategic insights about the products, our competition, customer adoption by developing and maintaining internal dashboards and reports.
Gather customer feedback to internalize and understand their challenges and develop ways to address their needs.
Define and document features through Agile scrum development methodology, including business and product requirements.
Has 2-4+ years’ experience successfully designing, launching, and maintaining digital D2C products.
Shows demonstrable understanding of subscription businesses, the streaming video industry, and technology landscape (i.e., mobile and TV platforms)
Is user-focused, with a passion for digital content and well-designed product experiences.
Brings hands-on experience driving engagement and customer communications through app features, CRM and other platforms.
Is data-oriented, with a demonstrated practice of using data to inform product decisions and customer strategies.
Experienced in managing 3rd party vendor relationships and implementations.
Has proven ability to distill input from multiple stakeholders into detailed product requirements.
Demonstrates technical aptitude and an ability to communicate effectively with software developers in an agile development framework.
Shows excellent written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to package and present product strategies and performance results in concise presentations.
Plus: Experience in streaming content experiences on major devices platforms, such as iOS, Android, the Web and 10’ devices
Big plus: Has fluency in Spanish, Latinx culture in the U.S. and/or strong interest in Spanish language programming.
Must be willing to work in our Santa Monica, CA. location.
