The VP of Finance is responsible for day to day aspects of financial control and accounting, ensuring the highest standards are maintained across all of the company’s activities. The position is an important role in managing the overall smooth and accurate running of financial systems and routines. Working closely with all departments of the organization, this role offers a great opportunity to develop expertise in all aspects of finance and accounting management, including P&L, operations, forecasting, and accounting.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Finance business partner, capable of providing accurate, timely, and value-added operational support, who can thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The VP of Finance is for NBTV Inc (parent company and all divisions)
Execution of month-end, planning and forecasting processes, including journal entries, bank and account reconciliations, and inter-company transactions.
Maintain accountability for proper forecasting, accounting, and recording of transactions consistent with company policies and GAAP.
Oversight of transaction processing including AP (Invoices & T&E), AR (billing & collections), cash management and general ledger maintenance, supported by and in partnership with HQ finance.
Close collaboration with the advertising sales team to provide reporting, analysis, and support.
Execution of Sales Commission planning.
Maintenance and revision of accounting and cost controls and compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Development and implementation of accounting, budgeting and office procedures to create an environment of efficiency and excellence.
Support the organization in the creation of accurate and thoughtful financial forecasts and supporting analysis for executive communication.
Review and account for semi-monthly payroll.
Assist with tax preparations.
Manage special projects and analyses.
Lead month-end close and reforecast operation.
Conduct accurate and insightful variance analyses of results vs. budget and prior year periods.
Provide business partnership and support to the commercial and editorial teams.
Coordinate all Internal Audit matters ensuring full support to the Internal Audit department and prompt follow up and implementation of any recommendations.
Manage company’s cap table and ensure accuracy with stock purchase agreements, etc
Implement company ISO plan
Will closely work with investors providing consistent and reports and support.
Strong knowledge of Finance and Accounting principles, including financial modeling, budgets and profitability analysis, variance analysis, and financial statements and reporting.

Expert proficiency with business and financial systems and applications - Microsoft Office (especially advanced Excel), Google mail/document management, Oracle, - and demonstrated ability to leverage them to drive efficiencies. Demonstrated skill with Excel performing complex data analyses including the effective use of Pivot Tables, V Lookups, and Macros.
Education: Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Salary: $110,000 (min) + equity

The FX Finance department is seeking a Director to oversee all phases of pre-production, production, and post-production ranging from show set-up to wrap.
Oversee all phases of production accounting on multiple FX shows from pre-production through wrap.
Coordinate and manage pre-production finance and accounting inclusive of budget review, cost reports, balance sheets, pre-buy of foreign currency and production cash flow.
Daily interaction with show Production Accountants to identify and address any problem areas, as well as ensure accurate and timely cost reporting.
Communicate daily with internal Production and Business Affairs departments on production related matters, to resolve any payment issues and help clarify questions about payment instructions.
Develop relationships with Accountants, Payroll Companies, CPA audit firms, Tax Authorities and Producers, to build resources and networks from which to gather industry information.
Act as liaison with Disney’s Compliance group, Labor Relations, Internal Audit, and Treasury to ensure production finance policies and procedures are current and effectively implemented on our productions and accounting manual is updated with current policies and procedures.
Identify problem areas including breakdown in communication between Accountants, UPM/Producers, Production Executives.
Manage production cash flow as it related to LRP/Corp Budgets & Forecast.
Four year college degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.
Minimum 7 years of finance experience required. Minimum 5 years of Production Finance experience and at least 4 years of management experience required.
Must have experience in understanding and interpreting ATL contracts and knowledge of guilds.
Must be solution focused.
Must be detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Must be organized, able to multitask and be a team player.
Strong MS Office skills required, with an emphasis on Excel.
Proficiency with Global Vista and PSL.
