CYNTHIA TURNER’S
Cynopsis
04/13/06
Good Morning. It’s Thursday, April 13, 2006, and this is your first early morning briefing.
Tonight’s Finale:
Fox: The Loop at 830p
* MORE GOOD STUFF *
Starting next week, Lifetime Television will air a new movie marathon, Ripped from the Headlines – stories surrounding some of America’s most notorious true-crime murders, mayhem and trials. As an added bonus, five national reporters who covered these stories will join hosts victims’ rights attorney Gloria Allred, and former judge and Court TV journalist Catherine Crier, to offer insight, updates and analysis. The marathon airs Monday through Thursday, April 17-20 and April 24-27, at 7p beginning with Amber Frey: Witness for the Prosecution (4-17); A Little Thing Called Murder (4-18); Outrage in Glen Ridge (4-19); Loves Deadly Triangle: The Texas Cadet Murder (4-20); Murder in the Hamptons (4-24); The Return of Alex Kelly (4-25); A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story (4-26); and Her Final Fury: Betty Broderick, The Last Chapter (4-27).
The timing must have been right for The Gospel of Judas when it premiered last Sunday evening on the National Geographic Channel. It gave the network the #2 slot in ad-supported cable networks for the 8-10p time period among A25-54, with nearly 2 million tuning in and a 1.3 rating.
As to our 50,000th subscriber to Cynopsis … he prefers to remain anonymous. Not so anonymous are two of the three who were the first to correctly guess April 11 as the big day: congratulations to Peter Butchen, VP/Pricing and Inventory, VH1 and VH1 Classic and to Carrie Barczak, S&K Menswear, Virginia Beach. We’ve not been able to connect with Winner #3 as yet. As to the big question of the day … tell them what they’ve won, Jay! Each of our winners will receive a limited edition Cynopsis coffee mug (I know, now you’re jealous), and a personalized Apple video iPod. Thanks for playing!
