Social Media Manager

UNC-TV is actively seeking qualified candidates for a Social Media Manager in the Marketing Communications division. This manager is a vital leader on the Digital Marketing team, supervising one permanent position, and is responsible for UNC-TV’s social media strategy with the goal of building and sustaining an engaged audience and member base across social media platforms. This highly collaborative role will work with content, creative services, marketing, and development teams to create and maintain an editorial and promotions calendar. This role will develop and implement social media campaigns to increase and build brand awareness and loyalty, increase donations to UNC-TV, drive audience engagement, and strengthen multi-platform viewership of UNC-TV programming. This position is responsible for measuring and analyzing social media performance, making strategic decisions for campaign growth, and providing staff training and guidance on social media best practices. The Social Media Manager will provide leadership and direction for all social media platforms and efforts utilizing audience analytics and research to ensure effective engagement and marketing strategies are utilized in a comprehensive manner. He or she should demonstrate a strong command of social media management experience developing and executing social media marketing strategy, preferably at a marketing/creative agency, or within the entertainment industry.
