Senior Analyst, TV Audience Research

The Senior Analyst will work collaboratively across the Research, Programming, Acquisitions, and Marketing teams to provide data-based insights that will help inform key tactical and strategic initiatives for the Scripps National Networks. Through your ability to deliver actionable insights, by telling a story with data, and utilizing both written and visual analysis techniques, you’ll be contributing to a small, yet highly productive Audience Research team. Your deep commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and teamwork are a priority to succeeding within this team and the overall organization.


What you’ll do:

  • With a focus on the audience, report and evaluate existing metrics, develop new metrics and reports, and provide strategic recommendations based on the findings to assist with driving decision-making and measuring performance for key stakeholders

  • Perform analyses for network programming, as well as competitive analysis for programs on other networks

  • Develop estimates for network performance, programming, and potential acquisitions

  • Complete regular reporting and ad-hoc research requests

  • Maintain historical trackers and monthly movie database to provide quick ratings information to the team

  • Attend monthly programming meetings and offer input on programming ideas

  • Train/teach junior team members on new systems and basic analyses techniques

  • Assist with managing network schedules in Nielsen MyEVNTS

  • Other duties as needed
