The Research Analyst provides information and analysis on a timely basis to the team at GAC Media. This data includes all relevant Nielsen reports for all GAC Media properties, including Overnights, Sales Estimates, Daypart analysis and any information required by the ad sales, distribution, marketing and programming teams to position the company to marketplace. This position requires a service mentality and a positive attitude along with experience with Nielsen systems and a keen understanding of ratings and performance within the linear cable channel space.
- Track Nielsen data day-by-day for GAC Media channels, as well as competitors, in both broadcast and cable television
- Ability to project ratings in line with the strategic focus and direction established of the advertising sales team
- An understanding of programming, preferably in the family space, with an emphasis on the various streams of data, including Live, Live + Same Day and Live +3
- Stay current in the changes within the distribution space, including cord cutting trends, the growth of vMVPD’s and various streaming services
